Step electrical, microstep, and thrust
Use one tab at a time. Only that calculation asks for inputs. One inductance covers both the time constant and the bus bounds.
Worked example
Time constant 0.004 s
tau = L / R, with L in henry
Lower bus bound 8 V
4 * sqrt(L in mH)
Upper bus bound 50 V
25 * sqrt(L in mH)
H and mH are one inductance. rpm is converted to rad/s. Holding torque and incremental torque are N·m. Lead is metres and thrust is newtons. Pull-out curves are not plotted. No motor list is used.

- Example 16 microstepsIncremental torque is holding torque times sin(90 degrees / N). N is the selected count.
- Example voltage boundsThe range is 4 to 25 times sqrt(L in mH). The same L, in henry, is L/R.
- Example lead thrustThrust uses the entered torque, efficiency, and lead. No screw table.
